Paris is a beautiful city. It’s full of spectacular architecture, delectable eats, and an ambiance that sets that perfect tone of European travel. It’s also, of course, the city of love.

If it’s your first time traveling to Paris, I’m going to provide you with some structure so that you can make the most of your time there. Whether it be a day, a few days, or a few weeks, here are some of my favorite spots in this glowing city.

The mystic waterfall village of Rastoke; quite simply put, it will take your breath away. It is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places you’ll ever see. Rastoke is a hidden gem that’s not too far from the world renown Plitvice Lakes National Park. Once you visit Rastoke, you probably won’t want to leave.

Get adventurously lost in the maze of canals, admire the glow of lights as they reverberate from the orchestral notes floating through the evening air, or simply stroll about the intertwined pathways that house hidden gems embedded within this illustrious city. Venice is certainly one of the most unique cities in the world. 

Could it be the charming castle that sits upon the cliffside? How about the cathedral that appears to hover on the lake? Maybe it’s the beauty that can befall you in any direction you walk. There are too many possibilities. Here are some of my favorites.

Whether it’s your first time to Italy or you’re a seasoned traveler, you cannot deny that Florence is one of the most influential and beautiful places to visit in Europe. After all, it is the heart of the Renaissance. Why is this place so magical, so relaxed, so… Italy? Let’s reflect.

The historical significance and beauty of this island was a form of its own. Some of the best parts were simple, open pathways. You could easily spend a day here learning of all the historically rich remnants. The Gospels Garden, Heritage Centre, Priory, St. Mary’s Church, and Lindisfarne Castle are just some of the places to check out, not to mention the unique shops and restaurants. Maybe just have a picnic in the grass, sit on the water’s edge and read a book, or capture endless photos of the awesome panoramic views.

If you’re looking to complete that rite of passage by backpacking Europe, you’ll still want to adhere to the tried-and-true backpacker style travel packs.

If you haven’t done this, you need to do it. Age matters not.

My companions aren’t as fond of this form of travel as I am. It can be quite difficult living out of a backpack for several weeks. You will definitely feel dirtier than your average trip, you’ll have to preplan for laundry days, and you’ll almost certainly get tired of it at some point. Fear not, there are ways to optimize any scenario. Check it out!

While secretly sitting at the loading point for the boat cruise, I teased my friends about how boring the day was. They didn’t look too happy. They had no idea that I planned a surprise Easter cruise around Paris on the Seine River, and that it was about to commence within the hour. We were all amazed at how fun it ended up being. Needless to say, their frowns turned upside down.

If you have one day in Paris, do the cruise. You’ll cover the most ground, and you’ll get that European appeal. I’ve been to Paris many times, for weeks at a time. I’ve never had a better time than the single day I took the Seine dinner cruise.

I skimmed articles back in my first days of UK driving. I mostly came across rules that reminded me of a written driver’s test. Being that very little was applicable in real life, they didn’t help me at all.

I believe you can take your current driving knowledge and develop through the learning curve of a new country with this article. These tips here are pertinent and less generalized. Cornwall is deceivingly massive. It spans so many miles that you really would benefit from a rental car to see it all. While we actually spent two days in the area, you can do quite a lot in one day. It’s debatable, but the most popular site to see would probably be Saint Michael’s Mount. The beauty of this place is that it’s an island and then… it’s kind of not?

We also found a beautiful, off-beat location called Kennall Vale. Not only is it picturesque, it’s peaceful. You can hear all of nature and none of reality. You can be emersed in the surroundings.
